When Sora merged his heart with Ventus, one would expect it to be the end of fighting for a while, right?
Wrong.
Vanitas was able to overpower not just Ventus, but Sora too, and thus, Sora's bright blue eyes turned into the iconic yellow and his hair turned jet black. Now, Vanitas bides his time stuck on the islands while masquerading around as Sora. But, soon, even his own journey will begin...
